Eden Capon, eight, and Indie Capon, seven, completed their challenge on May 31 and mum Rachel Capon said they had been ‘amazing’.

Eden and Indie said: “We really wanted to do something to help the doctors, nurses and everyone else at the NHS who are working so hard to help during the coronavirus.”

Seven-year-old Worthing girl runs half marathon for Worthing Hospital

Rachel said: “Indie and Eden have been working so hard to raise money for NHS Charities Together. They set themselves the challenge to run 100km in May, which is almost two-and-a-half marathons each they have run.

“They used their daily exercise every day to go out and complete the run whilst in lockdown.

“They have enjoyed many runs over Cissbury Ring and along Worthing beach, and have been running around the streets where we live in Findon Valley.

“Their effort and dedication for such young children has been amazing and the distance they have covered has been absolutely fantastic. We are so proud of them.”

They set themselves a target to raise £250 but have so far raised more than four times that amount. Visit https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Eden-and-Indie to show your support.
