Reflecting on their own experiences at Weald & Downland Living Museum, Mr Mosse, acclaimed writer and supporter of the arts, said: “Special places create an environment that inspires us. When we have space and time to think - that is where really useful thoughts occur. Curating such an environment is an extraordinary skill. Half a century of determination and persistence, sometimes against the odds, is a triumph. I am proud and grateful to celebrate 50 years of the exceptional Weald & Downland Living Museum.”

Mr Timothy, who is best known for his roles in All Creatures Great and Small, Doctors and EastEnders, said: “We have been big fans of Weald & Downland Living Museum for many years – it gets better and better, whether you are eight months, eight years or 80 – it’s perfect.”
