26. Philip McCutchan

28. Oscar Wilde
Novelist Oscar Wilde wrote The Importance of Being Earnest during one summer in Worthing. He holidayed in the town in 1893 and 1894, and wrote the play during his second visit. The play's protagonist is named Jack Worthing.
