Lancing children win prizes in Be Safe Be Seen campaign

All children at The Globe Academy, in Irene Avenue, were given a reflective Be Safe Be Seen badge to attach to their coat or school bag.

The school also linked up with Co-op Funeralcare in Lancing for an art competition for all year groups.

Justin Harvey, funeral director, said: “Now the afternoons and evenings are darker, it becomes dangerous by the roadsides, so the school was given a lesson plan to give to the children about road safety and staying safe.

“We also ran an art competition to design a safety poster. After a very tough job of judging all the excellent entries, winners were chosen from each age group and prizes were awarded. All the winners were displayed in our window in Lancing.

“At Co-op, we are always looking to get involved in our local communities and this has been brilliant getting involved with one of our great local schools.”
