"In the name of charity we will provide an afternoon of sparkling vocal entertainment and delectable cakes and goodies, all as part of our annual Tea and Tunes fundraiser.

"Set aside Sunday afternoon for a slice of lemon drizzle cake while we warble out our own swinging versions of songs from the 1940s to the present day, in addition to what is usually a fairly epic raffle."

Last year's event raised £970 for the charity.

Tea and Tunes will be held at Heene Community Centre from 3pm to 5.30pm. Tickets are £3. Find Sweetheart Melodies on Facebook for more information.
