Four keynote speakers have already been confirmed for this year’s event, on Thursday, March 20, including a Shoreham firm which recently encountered the wrath of the fearsome ‘Dragons’, to a unique franchise which has had concessions in Harrods, among other high-profile stores.

Each speaker will give a talk of around 30 minutes, with the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

Chamber executive member Sheryl Tipton said: “The Business Showcase is an opportunity to network with businesses of all sizes, with hopefully the chance to talk to the larger businesses in town to get advice and promote themselves to others.

“It will be a really good, interactive day, for all of Worthing and Adur to come together and celebrate business.”

Two speakers already on-board are David Sewell, of Fresh Egg, and chocolate manufacturers Cocoa Loco.

Mr Sewell, a consultant for digital marketing agency Fresh Egg, brands himself as a ‘cognitive scientist and creative thinker’.

He brings multi-channel marketing and software design experience to Fresh Egg from multiple sectors, including 4D image processing for the oil and gas industry, to brand and celebrity online reputation management.

Passionate about users’ digital journeys, he helps clients focus on understanding the intent behind a search before making business decisions.

On the day, Mr Sewell will be talking on behalf of Fresh Egg.

Cocoa Loco, meanwhile, is a Fairtrade and organic chocolate manufacturer which ‘lives, breathes, dreams and sleeps chocolate’.

Cocoa Loco will not be found in any of the major supermarkets but they do supply to some major brands, including Abel and Cole, John Lewis, Oxfam and Jamie Oliver, plus a growing number of fine food Emporiums and delicatessens throughout the country.

Two other speakers are profiled in this week’s Herald and Gazette, out Thursday, February 20.

The event will be held at Worthing Town Hall.
