400 CANNABIS PLANTS SEIZED BY POLICE

Police investigations are continuing today after 400 cannabis plants and hydroponics equipment was seized in a raid at Buxted.

Premises in Station Road, Buxted, were searched on Saturday by 12 officers and a dog.

Staff from EDF Energy attended to confirm the safety of electrical equipment.

Three men aged 22,23, 24 and a 19-year-old woman were arrested and have been bailed for further enquiries.

Insp Richard Allum said: 'This operation is part of our ongoing commitment to tackle drugs in our community.'
