Airshow promises thrilling action

Organisers of the Shoreham Airshow offered a teasing glimpse of what lies in store for this year's event at a preview day.

It was the perfect day for a wingwalk as demonstrated by the new Utterly Butterly team whose aerobatics will be sure to entertain spectators once again.

Also visiting was a team of Harrier jet pilots who gave a dazzling performance of the speed and power which these planes are capable of.

Organisers are also pleased to announce that for the first time ever the Red Devils Freefall Parachute Team will perform on Saturday, September 3.

New displays will come from the Eurofighter (Typhoon) which is in its first year of operation. Crowds will be able to marvel at its power as it completes a series of flythroughs on both days.

The Royal Navy will also be sending in the Sea Hawk and Sea Fury as well as the Lynx Pair (the Blackcats) which will wow spectators with their own breathtaking aerobatics.
