All's quiet in Findon

Only one candidate was nominated for the one vacant seat, so Mike Barnett (Con) is due to be returned unopposed.

Findon, one of two Arun council wards in the Herald's circulation area, also includes Clapham and Patching.

In Ferring ward, there are three candidates for two vacant seats. They are Roger Elkins (Con)*, Ed Miller (Lab), and Colin Oliver-Redgate (Con).

One of the ward's retiring councillors, David Hill, who is not seeking re-election, decided to end his district council days after a total of 40 years' service on Worthing and Arun councils.
