This stage was the filling and planting of bespoke wooden planters.

Councillors Carol Albury and Carson Albury pioneered this project. Carol said: “This has been a fantastic project to take on and very rewarding. The wonderful volunteers from Lancing turned out in force to help every step of the way.

“This area a year ago had a crumbling wall with trees and weeds growing through the crazy paved area.

“The wall has been completely rebuilt and the crazy paving lifted and relayed. The beautiful wooden planters built by West Sussex Volunteers Project are now in place and greatly enhance the area.”
