Arrests made after attack at man’s Lancing home

A man was treated for head injuries after he was attacked in his own home in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 23).

The man, a 53 year-old, of Kings Road, Lancing, took himself to Worthing Hospital for treatment.

Following a police investigation, four local people ‑ a woman, two men and a boy were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They were interviewed and released on police bail until June 24.

As part of the investigation, they recovered a golf club and baseball bat.

Detective Constable Laura Sinden said; “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the Kings Road area early on Saturday morning and who saw anything suspicious.

“We would also like to contact anyone who has information about a black Vauxhall Corsa saloon which was found parked in nearby West End Way a short while after the initial call, and which had knife damage to one of the tyres.
