Speaking on behalf of arts partnership Inclusive Arts, Clare Hills said: “With the First World War anniversary being such a big thing, we wanted to focus on the local impact of a Europe-wide event – what it meant for one little bit of Worthing alone.”

Another exhibit, featuring other World War One-inspired pieces, as well as the textile memorial, will be held at Inclusive Arts Gallery in Heene Road, next Saturday, from 3pm until 5pm.
