Assault,burglary charges

A Chichester man pleaded not guilty to three charges of burglary and sexual assault when he appeared in Chichester Crown Court.

Mark Richard Campbell (37), of Glenville Gardens, Donnington, previously had denied a further 12 charges including a string of sex assaults in February.

The new charges relate to a burglary in Chichester in July 2003, another in Lavant during February 2004 and a sexual assault in May 2004.

He previously denied charges of the indecent assault of a woman, aged 27, in Bognor in February 1998 and the indecent assault of a girl under 14 and the false imprisonment of a 12-year-old girl in September 1999.

Campbell also denied charges of indecently assaulting a girl under 16 in Bognor in 1999 and the indecent assault of two girls and false imprisonment of a woman, aged 29, in 2000.

He also denied raping a woman aged 21 in Walberton during May, 2000, and the indecent assault of a girl aged over 16 in Midhurst in June 2003.

The final charges relate to a sexual assault on a girl in Midhurst in July 2004 and the rape of two 15-year-old girls in Bognor in 2004.

A provisional date of September 17 has been set for his trial to be heard.
