THE Junior and Intermediate Athletics teams from Burgess Hill School for Girls are shown to be in fantastic form this season after winning two Athletics events this past week. First was the Sussex Round of the Track and Field Cup, held at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley.

With sixteen schools entered in the competition it was always going to be a tough day. Every competitor must compete in two events, one track and one field.

In very wet conditions, both the Junior and Intermediate teams performed very well, with personal bests being set in running, jumping and throwing.

In the Mid-Sussex Trials held at Broadbridge Heath in Horsham, the girls were in flying form, setting personal bests and breaking school records in both the track and field events. Congratulations go to the eleven girls who have been selected to represent Mid-Sussex at the Sussex Schools' Championships in June.
