Athletics success for Chesswood Middle School

YEAR-seven boys and girls from Chesswood Middle School in Worthing won the sports hall athletics competition at the Sussex school games.

The games were part of a programme to deliver a sporting legacy following the London 2012 Olympics.

Tim Quick, Chesswood’s PE leader, said: “This was another fantastic opportunity for this group of pupils, they always seem to rise to the challenge against other schools and areas of Sussex. I am very proud of their achievements, they have dominated athletics competitions in Worthing and now Sussex. This group are truly talented.”

Team disciplines included sprinting, distance running, long jump, triple jump, vertical jump, speed bounce and shot put.
