Battle Police donation to hospice riding club

The club was created to raise funds for the St Leonards hospice nine years ago.

Now it offers a wide range of horse-related activities to suit all ages and levels of riding.

Club secretary Barbara Eason said: “We are very appreciative for the support we have received from Sussex Police and we’re looking forward to the event.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

Police community support officer Sam Kemp said: “I am really pleased Sussex Police have been able to support this local cause and I am sure the event will be a great success.”
