Battle teen arrested over cannabis find in Bexhill

A Sussex Police traffic patrol stopped the car in Woodsgate Park shortly after 10.30pm on Saturday (July 30).

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered a large quantity of cannabis, almost £800 in cash, a mobile phone and a set of digital scales.

An 18-year-old man from Battle, who had been travelling in the car, was arrested on suspicion of possessing the Class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

He has been released on police bail until September 23 while enquiries continue.
