IT may be the middle of winter, but preparations are well under way for Adur Art Trail, which this year will run for the two weeks from May 30 to June 14.
This year, the trail organisers, adurArtcollective, is inviting beach hut owners to join in by dressing up their huts as flamboyantly as they wish, on a theme of their own choice.
Secretary Chris Howitt said: “The art trail has grown in popularity over the years and adurArtcollective is now looking for people interested in offering Open House venues to host the many artists wanting to exhibit their work.
“There is no need to be an artist to have an Open House, and the space offered can be inside – wall, floor or table; or outside – garden, shed, garage, houseboat or any other suitable weatherproof, secure space.
“Hosting an Open House is a great way to become involved in the art trail and meet new people, as well as earning 15 per cent commission on any artist sales, which could be used to support a favourite charity.”
