Scores of people turned out for the show, which was held at the Sir Robert Woodard Academy, in Upper Boundstone Lane, Lancing, on Saturday, July 20.

Show secretary Madeleine Pratt said: “We were very happy with the number of entries we had, although the vegetable section suffered a bit with the weather, everything being late this year – with luck, catching up for our last show, in September.

“The flowers obviously like the heat and we had a good selection of entries. It was nice to see so many visitors.”
