Bellbrook cash plea
A CALL has gone to businesses on Bellbrook Park in Uckfield which have pledged money to the Bell Lane Improvement Group to get the cash in by December 31.
With the business cash in place, BLIG is keen to start work as early in the New Year as possible. This will mean that essential preliminary survey work can get under way in January and will enable an early start to be made on the improvements when the East Sussex County Council's contribution is made.
The likely programme will see the new street lighting in the first phase followed by the kerbing, drainage and footway work.
Resurfacing and reconstruction is likely to take place after Easter.
There will be an exhibition for businesses and everyone will be kept fully informed of any disruption.
