Dance, drama, movement and music are all on the agenda at Bexhill High School with pupils immersing themselves in performing arts.

Staff member Teri White said: "In September we formed a new Theatre Society at the school called High Society.

"In January we performed our first show 'Musicality' which was different songs and dances from different musical shows. It sold out on both nights and raised money for next year's show.

"In July we will perform our new show 'Decades of Dance' which we are rehearsing for at the moment."

Students recently took part in the Gym and Dance display, which took place over two nights and was again highly successful.

This is a yearly event with students performing routines from the areas of Gym and Dance. There was a variety of floor and apparatus routines, performed by Bexhill High Gymnastics squad and other enthusiastic pupils ranging from aged 3 to 18.

This week, students will be taking part in this year's Rock Challenge, an international competition which offers pupils an opportunity 'to be their best' and experience 'a drug free high'.

The students take part in the south east regional competition competing against a variety of local schools.

This years theme touches on the controversial and widely published issue of cyber bullying.
