Big Coffee Morning at Belle Vue Court

The popular event, which last year raised approximately 700 for the cancer charity, was well attended.

Along with coffee and biscuits, visitors had the opportunity to purchase items from the many varied stalls, which included bric a brac, books videos, and a well stocked raffle.

In addition, the talents of some of the Belle Vue residents were evident for all to see, with scrumptious home-made cakes and scones, pretty handmade cards by Mary Glasbey and colourful crotched items made by Mavis Jenner.

House manager Jane Field said this is the third year Belle Vue Court has supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning, she said:

"It's a really good cause and is a charity which is close to both myself and some of the residents.

"The coffee morning is really enjoyable for everyone - we love it."
