A RESIDENT who spotted a bin fire near his house on Wednesday has called for all wheelie bins to be locked to prevent it happening again.
Sean Boscott, of Bedford Row, Worthing, called the fire service at 11.50pm, when he noticed the fire in neighbouring Marine Place.
It was one of several similar incidents that have happened since he moved to the road four years ago, and he blames the unlocked bins for causing them.
He said: “Between the pier and the town centre, with all the rubbish, burnt bins and glass, it looks like war-torn Bosnia.”
