Body found on Sussex beach

A body was found in the sea off the the Sussex coast.

The lifeboat from Newhaven was launched and the coastguard helicopter to recover the body after a member of the public reported seeing someone in the water off Crowlink, which is in the middle of the Seven Sisters cliffs.

The drama unfolded on Thursday afternoon and the RNLI has just released details.

The helicopter airlifted the body and police are now investigating.
