Bodybuilder goes global after competition win and BBC show

A Worthing bodybuilder has booked her place at one of the biggest competitions in the world after winning a national trophy '“ days before appearing in a BBC documentary.

Phoebe Hagan, 21, won first place in the juniors bikini class and came second in the open class at the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Sugar Classic competition in Leicester on November 20.

Following the win, Phoebe can compete in the British championships and the Arnold Classic in Barcelona, one of the top international bodybuilding competitions.

She said: “I went there to win. I’ve worked so hard all season, this being my 7th show this year, and I finally got it. I was shocked and I did cry onstage but I was so happy I finally got what I wanted.”

Phoebe’s onstage poses won over the judges, who said that she had ‘improved so much’ since her first show at the Mass Student Physique Championships in Bristol. Click here to read more.

To prepare for the competition, Phoebe worked out six days a week and ate six meals a day.

She has also recently starred in a Radio One documentary called Get Muscly In A Month, which aired on December 2.
