Bognor deaf group relaunched

A BOGNOR Regis group for deaf and hard of hearing people is relaunching.

The Bognor Regis Communication Group, also for lip readers and British Sign Language users, starts meeting at 7.30pm on Fridays from April 4 to try to reverse a decline in its fortunes.

Just eight members attended its final sessions on Mondays because of a lack of continuity and an absence of new and younger people.

It is hoped the new date will provide a fresh impetus and attract newcomers.

Group meetings offer help, practise and support. They are held at the Laburnum Centre in Lyon Street.
