Boy rescued 20ft up tree at Ferring

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a boy who was stuck 6m (20ft) up a tree at Ferring tonight (Sunday, March 22).

The boy, aged about 12, was too frightened to come down the tree on his own and his friends called out the fire brigade at 6.10pm.

Worthing firefighters used a ladder to climb the tree, beside a twitten off Sea Road. They were then able to coax him down the ladder.
