Even Pudsey Bear came along to help fundraise for the children’s charity.

Laura King, event organiser, said: “We’ve been doing these Brassbandathon events for four years now, and this year we saw the most people we’ve ever had visit to take part in the fundraising.

“We have raised around £1,600 so far, which is more than we’ve ever raised at this event before.

“It was a huge success, and we’re all really proud of how the event went.

“It was very hard work - even though the event was 12 hours long, the day was closer to 13 or 14 hours long because we had to set everything up and put it all away.

“However, it was worth it – it was a brilliant day.”
