Brave Jack given Star Wars themed send-off after losing brain tumour battle

His parents Andrina and Dan, of Orchard Avenue, Lancing, arranged for their son’s coffin to be escorted by storm troopers at the emotional farewell yesterday (Wednesday).

The service, held at Worthing Crematorium, was attended by more than 500 people, who each wore an item of green clothing to mark Jack’s favourite colour.

Funeral director Ian Hart said it was one of the biggest services his company had ever had at the crematorium.

Jack’s family has asked for donations to Chestnut Tree House and The Brain Tumour Charity.

Andrina said: “The funeral was something that we never discussed with Jack because we did not think we would ever have to, but we know he would have loved it and for us it was a fitting send off to our brave boy.”
