BREAKING: Driver wanted by police after fleeing crash

POLICE want to speak to the driver of a car who drove off after a four car crash that blocked the A27 near Southwick Tunnel on Thursday, October 10.

The car, described as a silver or white vehicle, braked hard on the eastbound carriageway just before the tunnel around 8.45am and slid sideways in lane two before recovering and driving off.

PC Ben Henwood from Sussex Police’s Road Policing Unit said: “The loss of control of this car brought following vehicles to a standstill and unfortunately resulted in a collision between four of them. It is possible that the driver did not realise what had occured, but we would still like to speak to them to find out what caused them to brake in this way.”
