EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a collision between a lorry and a pick-up truck eastbound on the A27 at Chichester this afternoon (June 8).
The Chichester Bypass is now closed eastbound between the Whyke Roundabout and the Bognor Road Roundabout.
Fire crews are using hydraulic rescue equipment to free one man trapped in one of the vehicles. An air ambulance has also been called to the scene.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the crash at 4.20pm and a spokesman for Sussex Police said the road currently remains blocked in the eastbound direction.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received reports of the RTC near the Bognor Road roundabout.
“Fire crews from Chichester and Bognor are on the scene, and are working to free a man trapped in one of the vehicles.”
