BREAKING NEWS: Man attacked in Sompting robbery

A MAN was threatened with a knife during a robbery at a pub in Sompting.

He was attacked by three men while emptying bins at the Ball Tree Inn, in Busticle Lane, Sompting, at around 2am yesterday (Sunday, April 18).

The man, who did not suffer serious injuries, was threatened and pushed back into the pub.

All three suspects, who escaped with keys and cash, were white, aged around 25 to 26 years old and had southern accents.

The first was of stocky build and was wearing dark blue jeans, a brown hoodie and a black baseball cap with a Nike logo.

The second was slim and wearing a light-coloured tracksuit.

The third was stocky with dark brown shaggy hair, a full dark beard and was wearing dark blue builder combat trousers.

They are believed to have driven north up Busticle Lane after leaving the pub.
