A MAN has died after falling from the top storey of the Teville Gate carpark earlier today (Tuesday, July 23).

Emergency services were called to Teville Gate carpark in Worthing at 2.15pm and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance was seen flying low over the town centre at around 2.30pm, before landing in Homefield Park.

Paramedics treated the man but he was declared dead at 2.45pm.

Vincent Fisher, of Shelley Road, Worthing, was at the scene, he said: “They had been trying to revive him for about half an hour. I noticed him from around the town but I didn’t know him.”

A passer by on a bicycle said it was really sad.

A spokesman for SecAmb said: “We were called to Railway Approach in Worthing to reports of someone falling from the car park. Two ambulances and a car attended the scene and we assigned the air ambulance to the call. Unfortunately, one person died at the scene.”

His death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.
