BREAKING NEWS: North Street in Worthing closed after ‘medical episode’
POLICE have closed the eastbound lanes of North Street in Worthing town centre after a man suffered a suspected cardiac arrest (Friday, August 1).
The emergency services were called to the incident, near the junction of Lyndhurst Road, at around 1.30pm.
A police spokeswoman confirmed they were called to a ‘medical episode’, understood to be a man suffering a cardiac arrest, by the pedestrian crossings opposite Lidl.
The road remained closed while paramedics treated the man at the scene.
