BREAKING NEWS: Steyning road heavily flooded

A spokesman for Steyning Leisure Centre said the flooding is ‘worse than when it rains heavily’.

“The road is rather flooded out there,” he said.

The leisure centre has contacted Southern Water to tend to the scene.

On Twitter, @mikebeeding said: “Burst water main opposit Steyning Leisure Centre deep water in places.”

A spokesman for Southern Water said: “We have deployed a crew to repair a burst main in Horsham Road, Steyning.

“We are unsure at this stage how long the repair will take but we will work as quickly as possible.”

The leisure centre remains open for business.
