When asked about why they were campaigning, Leave supporter Mike Jelliss said that the main issues for him were ‘sovereignty and democracy’, adding that ‘we have lost them both and want them back’.

Mark Withers echoed his fellow campaigner by saying that the debate centred on Britain’s ability to control its own future.

He said: ‘Do you want to be ruled by an external authority or do you want to rule yourself?’

According to the group, they will be returning to Worthing on Saturday and Wednesday.
