Burglars target Pavilion Road home

Police are appealing for witnesses after a home in Worthing was broken into while the owners were out.

Between 6.30am and 9.45am on Thursday, July 31, an intruder forced their way into a house on the north side of Pavilion Road.

The victims returned to find their home had been searched. It is not yet known what was taken.

Sussex Police launched Operation Magpie to tackle burglary across Sussex.

Detective Constable Mandy Taylor said: “The burglar smashed a large pane of glass on the back door which would have made a very loud noise so it is likely that someone could have heard something.

“If you were in the area and saw or heard anything suspicious we would like to speak to you.”
