Burglars targeted in police crackdown

A POLICE crackdown on burglaries across the Herald and Gazette patch has seen a number of suspects charged.

Sussex Police’s Operation Magpie, conducted over the past two weeks has seen half a dozen people charged with various offences relating to burglaries across Worthing, Adur and Littlehampton.

Detective inspector Dave Wardley-Wilkins said: “A number of people have been charged with burglary just days after homes were broken into which shows the effort and resources that we are putting into catching and convicting those who try to make residents’ lives a misery.”
