PEOPLE are being forced to stand in lengthy queues at HSBC in Worthing this afternoon (Friday, November 4).
Due to the international firm’s computer system going down, people were unable to use many services at the bank, in Warwick Street.
And to use the limited services that are on offer involves joining a queue almost out of the front door.
Staff at the branch said they did not know when the systems would be working again, and suggested the problem could affect people’s ability to pay for items in shops on HSBC credit and debit cards.
The HSBC UK press office Twitter account read: “We are experiencing some problems – sorry for the inconvenience. Please follow for updates.”
