BYE BYE BEDSITS HELLO MODERN FLATS

Work has started on remodelling the scheme's 55 bedsits into 34 self-contained one- and two-bedroom flats.

The development is owned by social housing provider Saxon Weald, and residents have been moved around within it to create an empty area for phase one of the work.

Sixteen residents have chosen to move out of Ashby Court permanently and Saxon Weald has found them alternative accommodation and helped with every aspect of their removals. Work will be completed in two phases, each lasting approximately 30 weeks.
