Cancer Research UK Coffee Morning

THE BEXHILL and Little Common branch of Cancer Research UK held it's Spring Coffee Morning at the Little Common Community Centre on Saturday.

Always a well supported event, local folk ventured out into the wind and drizzle to purchase bargains from the many stalls and to enjoy welcoming refreshments of teas, coffees and home-made cakes.

Stalls sold a variety of items including jewellery, cards, books, stationary, and there was a well-stocked tombola. The home-made cake stall did a roaring trade and were completely sold out within an hour of opening.

Branch Chairman Doris Boorman said they'd had a good turn out, adding: "We are always well supported with everything we do. Last year this branch raised over 26,000 for Cancer Research UK which is testament to the generosity of our supporters and volunteers."
