A MOTHER who has twice fought cancer is celebrating her remission by opening a beauty salon.

Caroline Botterill, 34, wants to ‘give something back’ having been in remission for 18 months.

The mother of three boys, who lives in Durrington, was first diagnosed with cancer in November 2012 and again in March 2013. She had extensive surgery at St Thomas’ Hospital in London.

Now, she is taking her business as a mobile hair stylist to the next level, opening her own salon.

Sparkle Hair and Nails, in Stoney Lane, Shoreham, has its launch party on Saturday, from 6pm to 9pm.

Shoreham beauty queen and performer Ella Collins-Godden will officially open the salon.

Caroline said the salon was ‘thrilled’ to be sponsoring Ella. She added: “We also hope to be joined by a finalist from Britain’s Got Talent, Mr Drew Cameron, and Mike Mendoza from Latest TV and Talk Radio.”

Anyone interested can meet Caroline and her team at the launch party, and have a look around the salon to see what is on offer.

People will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly and nibbles on arrival, and 10 per cent of all bookings and purchases made on the night will be donated to Macmillan.
