Police received reports that several cars had their tyres slashed between 8pm on Saturday, November 9 and 10am on Sunday, November 10, in Christchurch Road, Worthing.

Two of the tyres on resident Louise Emery’s red Kia Rio were targeted causing £70 worth of damage.

Louise, 35, said: “It is an inconvenience we cannot afford. My son is registered disabled, he has epilepsy, hydrocephalus and hyperinsulinemia. He has a tube up his nose and if that came out I would have to get a taxi to the hospital.

“What fun have they really got out of it? It is just stupidity, people are struggling enough as it is. It has cost me £70, which means that is £70 less for us and him to live on.

“It does not make any sense to do it. I am lucky my tyres are cheap but the man next door has sports tyres and they are not.”
