Caring nurse retires after 46 years service

A MUCH-LOVED nurse has retired after 46 years of dedicated service.

Sandy Twine, sister of outpatients at Worthing and Southlands hospitals, worked her last shift on Friday and said an emotional farewell to her friends and colleagues, alongside family members.

Mother-of-two Sandy, 64, of South Sea Avenue, Goring, said: “It’s been my life. Being a nurse is all I ever wanted to do. I love looking after patients. I always try and treat them as if they are a relative.”
