Janet Williams, one of the carnival organisers, said: “The weather’s looking good for it this year. The reason we do all this is to raise money for charity. All we ask is that people come along, have a nice time and chuck a bit of money in the boxes, and support us in any way they can. Just enjoy the moment for a good cause.”

The procession will take place at 1pm, starting at Worthing High School, in South Farm Road, before arriving at the green around 1.30pm. A ‘giant’ raffle will be drawn at 3.30pm with a top prize of £100.

The carnival’s ever-popular charity dog show, organised by Northdale Vets, will also be returning.

TV vet Marc Abraham will be appearing as a guest judge at the event.

Marc said: “There’s nothing more fun than judging a charity dog show in summer. I’m really looking forward to meeting all the dogs and their owners, supporting Northdale Vets’ excellent work in the local community, and helping to raise much-needed funds for brilliant rescue pet charity WADARS too. See you all there.”

Entry to the dog show can be made on the day or via any of Northdale Vets branches located in Lancing, Worthing, and Findon. For more information, visit www.northdale.co.uk

The organisers of the carnival are still on the lookout for marshals, and there are also still spaces for anyone who would like to run a stall or take part in the procession.

Anyone interested should contact Broadwater News on 01903 237719.
