Staff and members of the public had to leave the building before 10am today (March 22) following reports of a fire.

But a county council spokesman said the fire was a false alarm.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that firefighters were not deployed to Centenary House.

Everyone is now back in the building.
