Jill Steaton, regional manager, said: “At Diabetes UK, we are working harder than ever to make sure people with diabetes have access to the best treatment and services and care they deserve.

“We understand that doctors and diabetes specialist staff are crucial to supporting people to live well with diabetes. However, many healthcare professionals often have many conflicting demands on their time.”

The new role will involve a range of activities from updating GPs and nursing staff on the latest campaigns, to giving talks on the types of services and support available from Diabetes UK.

People living in Sussex with a good knowledge of the NHS are invited to apply. The closing date is May 16, with interviews on May 30 and an induction day on June 11.
