Charity football team invited to play at Albion’s training ground

A HOMELESSNESS charity was invited to enter a team in Brighton and Hove Albion in the Community’s Mental Wellbeing Tournament.

Seven clients and two members of staff from Worthing Churches Homeless Projects played in the tournament at Brighton and Hove Albion’s new training ground in Lancing.

Brian Barnes and Deane Culver from Ferring FC lent the team a football kit for the day.

The tournament was made up of four groups of four teams. The players said they had a fantastic day and would like to thank Brighton and Hove Albion in the Community.

The charity has recently started up a regular football group for clients who want to meet weekly for training.
