Worthing Churches Homeless Projects is hoping the public will get behind its plans to build five concrete chess boards in the park and secure the services of a mentor to work alongside the charity’s clients and members of the public to improve the park’s flower beds and borders.

The money for the project would be provided by the People’s Millions – a partnership between the Big Lottery Fund and ITV, where the public help decide which local community projects get up to £50,000 of National Lottery funding.

Voting closes at midnight tonight (Tuesday, November 25).

To vote, call 09015 228216 or 6228216 from mobiles, selecting option one.

Each call costs 15p.
