Cheap insulation scheme set to end

Many in the Horsham District have already benefited from the schemes, which will still be available at a cost of around £199 each up until December, when prices will revert back to several hundred pounds.

At present they are subsidised by energy companies as part of their Carbon Emission Reduction Targets, and for some customers insulation may be free.

Gill Daniel, Environmental Co-ordinator at Horsham District Council, said: ”Now is a great time to take up the discounted schemes. Over the past few years energy prices have been increasing at unprecedented rates.

“Insulation will help keep your home warmer and keep energy bills lower.”
